Project Description
A digital platform designed to simplify street turn transactions in the intermodal industry. SmartTurn connects companies that need empty containers with those that have surplus, reducing unnecessary trips and improving operational efficiency.

Methods Used
Overview
SmartTurn is a logistics experience designed to reduce container waste, improve street-turn coordination, and help operations teams understand container availability faster.
The interface prioritizes search, trip status, matching logic, and clear access to shipment data so teams can act without moving through disconnected tools.
The Challenge
Street-turn workflows depend on many operational variables: routes, container availability, timing, document status, and partner coordination.
The product needed to make those variables readable for both dispatchers and business users while keeping the experience fast enough for daily operational work.
The Goal
Create a clear logistics dashboard for street-turn container transactions.
Make container matching and availability easy to understand.
Reduce unnecessary empty-container trips and manual follow-up.
Support a workflow that can scale from daily operations to larger logistics networks.
My Role
I led the UI/UX design, product structure, screen hierarchy, and interaction model for the platform.
My work covered user flows, dashboard organization, key screen layouts, and the visual system used across the SmartTurn experience.
User Flow
The core flow begins with a container search, continues through route and availability review, and ends with a clear action path for requesting or managing a street turn.
Each step keeps operational context visible so users can compare options without losing the original task.
Key Features
Search for empties, offer list, live map context, empty container movement, profile data, and operational status tracking.
The dashboard uses compact cards and clear metadata to keep high-density logistics information readable.
Outcome
The final design presents a focused logistics product that can support real-world container workflows with clearer status, stronger navigation, and less operational friction.
